These are interesting times for us all! People are finding creative ways to tackle boredom. I’m fortunate to have a hobby that can be done in the confines of the garage. Here’s how I turn bored into board.
Hey everyone! Eric here, the splinter-handed creator behind Sawn of a Bit.
What is Sawn of a Bit? Good question. For now, it’s pretty much a portfolio for my work, but I’m always open to creating custom pieces. So really, this website is a way to show you what’s cookin’ in the garage and for people like you to inquire if they want something made!
Alright, now that we’re on the same page, here’s a little about myself: I am by no means a professional. This is one of my many hobbies, and when I’m not in the garage, you’ll find me riding my bike, exploring, or cracking a brew among friends. (And occasionally, a combination of all those).
Sawn of a Bit Woodworks wasn’t the start of my fascination with making things. I’ve always tinkered in the garage. What it did though, was legitimize my craft and organize it in a way that I could record my creations and share my passion with those willing to tune in.
So to those who have followed the journey thus far, thank you.
Going forward, I’m going to do my best to post on here, and I think that will be a learning experience in itself! Luckily, blogging is a lot like woodworking. You measure what you’re going to say twice, and you make the cut (publish) once.
Time to make more sawdust fly!
